The Pertrain Learning Management System (LMS) has been developed to enable employees and contractors to access online training and assessment. An LMS provides a repository for training and assessment records and enables a training department to monitor learners’ progress, identify training gaps and identify the skills available in the workforce.

Create required courses and activities, and use these requirements to track worker qualifications at a single site or throughout your entire organisation.  Courses can be mapped to specific users or groups. Search the system for specific employees or qualifications and print or email records on on-demand to confirm competency. On completion of a training session, a statement of completion can be printed.

Courses

Multiple sections can be included in each course. For example, employee induction can be a fairly complex and lengthy subject. It would make sense to break information down into bite-sized sections with staged assessments. The induction course could be broken down as:

  • Significant Site Risks
  • Cultural Heritage

By taking this approach, a section (e.g Cultural Heritage) can be included in other courses. If the learner has completed this section in another course they will not need to repeat the section. Repetitive instruction is therefore reduced.

Create and Import Training and Course Material

Import your training and SCORM 1.2 compliant packages. Combine your imported training with multiple choice questions, tests, and tasks. Create your own online training toolbox with assessments in minutes with the WYSIWYG editor, upload and include your own word documents, PDFs, images or videos to enhance interactivity. Pertrain can provide a range of relevant training materials developed by our experienced technical writers and training resource professionals to populate your LMS. Automate the Assignment of Courses

A Pertrain LMS automates the assignment of courses to learners based on their department and/or role in the company. When creating a course, the course developer maps it to the relevant departments and/or roles based on the company’s Training Needs Analysis (TNA). When a new user is assigned to a department or role, courses are automatically added to that user’s personal training matrix. Courses can also be made mandatory for all users.

Course Booking System

Allows trainers to set a date for face-to-face training. Course participants are then notified of the details by email and granted access to any relevant training material or documentation. On completion of the training, the trainer/assessor records the learner’s results into the system, and the qualification appears on the learner’s record of completion.
